Proposal Submission Guidelines

General Information:

  • Proposals must be submitted through the vFairs platform or emailed to UND.conferences@UND.edu
  • When using abbreviations within the body of the abstract, spell out the word in full at first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once your proposal is submitted.
  • No changes can be made after the abstract submission deadline.
  • For assistance with abstract submission, please contact UND.conferences@UND.edu.
  • Presenters will only be invited once the abstract submission is accepted

Submission Timeline:

  • The proposal submission portal will close on 09/13/2024. Speakers will be notified of their abstract status by the conference committee.

Oral Presentation:

  • The presentations will be 50 minutes.

Symposium Presentation:

  • Panel presentations will feature several presenters providing critical learning and discussion opportunities. This format allows attendees to hear from various experts, experiences, and viewpoints on similar topics. Panel presentations will be 50 minutes in duration and feature three to five speakers.

Poster Presentation:

  • Posters may share preliminary findings or completed scholarship.

Summary Scoring Criteria:

  • Relevance: The subject is timely and relevant to the conference, theme, and community, and is likely to engage conference attendees.
  • Summary Content: Content is specific to the presenting topic, demonstrates sound science or promising practice, and serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, or competence of conference attendees. Content must be objective, free from bias and promotion, and not promote commercial entities, products, or brand names.
  • Originality: Material provides new insights or approaches to solving problems that are novel or innovative; the body of work advances knowledge or program development.
  • Quality of Written Summary: The abstract is coherent and clearly states the purpose or relevance to the conference's field.

Authors need to submit an Abstract (200 word maximum) and a Summary Statement (800 word maximum)
